EMERSE can help make research more reproducible. One way is through the use of saved, re-usable searches (called Bundles). These searches can be shared with all members of a research team, allowing them to standardize their work. In fact, researchers have noted that EMERSE allows them to "automatically and reproducibly search the entire electronic medical record." Additionally, some research teams publish the terms they use so that their work is reproducible by others. Below are some examples from peer-reviewed publications.
